This specification covers the requirements for carbon steel and corrosion resistant steel aircraft control flexible wire rope. The wire rope, Type I should be capable of operation within a -54? C to +121? C (-65? F to +250? F) temperature range in wind, dust, fuel and oil spills, in wash-down and other environmental stresses and aircraft experiences. Type II wire rope should be capable of operation within a -54? C to +94? C (-65? F to +200 ? F) temperature range in wind, dust, fuel and oil spills, in wash-down and other environmental stresses and aircraft experiences.
